Hello.
I recently conducted an interview with the director of the film "The Art of Travel". The film was shot for $300,000 and it's already successfully completed the film festival circuit and actually landed a good distribution deal.
The director agreed to answer "all questions", even the financial ones, relating to his film. he told me he believed in helping out other filmmakers who could learn from his mistakes and experiences.
There is a lot of valuable information in the two part interview. The first part of the interview looks at the "making of" part of the film. He talks about the writing process, the financing process and the shooting process.
In the second part of the interview he talks about finding distribution, what he got for distribution and he also provides valuable advice for other filmmakers looking to produce independent productions.
