Hello,
I'm planning to shoot my feature film with a camera that shoots 8-bit video as a part of micro-budget filmmaking. Will there be any problem if I master a DCP for major film festivals like TIFF, BFI, NYFF (which I heard requires 12-bit) from the 8-bit source video format after colour grading?

I read there maybe an issue with banding when upscaling bit-depth. But I want to learn more about this.

Please enlighten me.
