It's tricky at that age, unfortunately: Britain has all kinds of laws about using actors under 16 which makes it hard to do unless you're shooting the next 'Harry Potter' movie. For example, you can only shoot a few hours a day, you need permission from their school, and I believe you may need to get background checks for some of the crew.
The end result is that most times we've needed an actor who looked under 16, we've just got a 16-year-old actor who looked younger... I think the only exception was when we needed a baby, which is hard for a 16-year-old to fake :).
Hi i am part of an agency and have permission to film in school time etc would i have to get my agency to contact the person if i wanted to film?
