I'm casting for a short film titled "Liam Is..." filming in Preston 17th April for 4-5 days
This will be the first short I will have made outside of education. Due to the nature of the production there will be no fee paid, although some expenses will be covered as well as receiving a copy of the film on completion.

I'm looking for the lead role of Liam : an attractive guy who on the outside seems to have everything going for him. However, is holding in a great amount of emotional turmoil. The role requires the actor to be comfortable portraying bi-sexual tendencies.

Below is a synopsis of the film.

Liam is at a stage in his life where he is expected to make the transition from being a boy and becoming a man. This is not a process he feels comfortable with. He is a student living away from home for the first time and finding it difficult to find his place in the world.

Liam has some confusion regarding his sexuality. He has found a wonderful girlfriend in Gina. She seems to offer the stability that Liam is looking for. She is attractive, intelligent and kind. A real girl next door type. However, no matter how much he cares for Gina, Liam cannot banish the memory of an unexpected romance he had with a guy he met during his first year at university, Jamie. Liam had never considered the possibility that he could fall in love with a guy before meeting Jamie. The love affair was short lived as Jamie left uni part way through the year. Liam later found out that Jamie left uni due to illness and subsequently died from leukaemia. Feeling unable to tell anyone about Jamie, liam had to battle through his emotions and heartache alone. Liam has started to lead a double life where he dates Gina, but sleeps with men on the side trying to re capture something of what he felt when he was with Jamie.

Liam will set out on a journey of self discovery, where he will find himself face to face with his demons. Will Liam?s life as he knows it come crashing down around him, or will he with the help of the woman who loves him, exorcise his demons?
