Hey everyone. A friend of mine and myself are planning on writing and producing a feature (shooting it next July).
There is an actor who's agent I would like to get in contact with, but there are two problems: a) As this is my first feature, I have no prior experience as far as director-to-agent etiquette, and b) I'm not sure what an actor like this would expect to be paid:
John Patrick Amedori:

He's an absolutely fantastic actor with a real knack for raw emotion and that's the kind of film we're making.
I had formulated one idea: round-trip airfare paid for, he'd have his own room in the house we'd base out of, home-cooked meals, and $3,000 cash.
Is that good, or too little? Too much?
If anyone can give me pointers, it would be very much appreciated. I'm completely new to paying people, LOL. Thanks.
EDIT: We'd shoot for one month exactly (well, in theory anyways, lol)
There is a really good chance that your actor is in the union and cannot really accept pay beneath the union minimums without paying fines. Poke around the SAG website. They list minimums and special low budget filmmaker deals.

hmm, i tried both the sag and sagIndie sites, but i cant seem to find the information. maybe im looking in the wrong places?
The SAG "Ultra-Low Budget Agreement" is $100 per day. Total budget under $200,000. The SAG "Low Budget Agreement" ($625,000 total budget) is $286 per day.
I'm not sure why you can't find the information - it's on the SagIndie website.
